Installation
Download, install, and complete the first-launch permissions on macOS.
ToShop currently ships for macOS only. Windows and Linux builds are in development — see Coming soon.
Download
Get the latest macOS build from the ToShop homepage — click Download for macOS. The universal .dmg runs on both Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel Macs.
Minimum macOS: 13.0 (Ventura).
Install
Open the DMG
Double-click the .dmg file in ~/Downloads.
Drag to Applications
Drag ToShop into the Applications folder shortcut in the DMG window.
Launch
Open Applications → ToShop.
First-launch Gatekeeper warning
If macOS shows "ToShop can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software": right-click the app in /Applications/ → Open → confirm in the dialog. macOS only asks once per install.
First-launch permissions
ToShop asks for the permissions it needs to do useful work. Each can be revisited under Settings → Permissions later.
- Accessibility — Drive other apps when a skill requires it (e.g. control Apple Notes or Reminders).
- Notifications — Surface end-of-task pings and approvals when a long task needs your attention.
- Screen Recording — Required for screen capture and on-screen OCR.
Decline any of them and ToShop continues to work, with those specific tools unavailable until you grant.
After permissions, sign in with Google or with email + password — see Quickstart for the rest of the first-run.
Updates
ToShop checks for updates automatically and installs them on next launch.
Pause auto-updates in Settings → Network if you need to pin a specific version.
Uninstall
Move app to Trash
Drag ToShop from /Applications to the Trash.
