Persistent knowledge cards your agent recalls automatically — organized by category, scoped to each agent.
ToShop's Memories are short cards of long-term knowledge that your agent can recall in any future task. Memories are different from per-task context (which is discarded), and different from Rules (which are behavioural) — Memories are facts.
What's on a Memory card
Open any card and you'll see:
- Content — The body of the memory, written in plain text.
- Category — One of: profile, entities, events, cases, patterns, preferences.
- Summary — A short blurb your agent uses to decide if the card is relevant.
- Importance — A salience score from 1 to 10. Higher importance gets recalled first when context is tight.
- Source — Where it came from — chat, Telegram, Discord, or written by you.
- Owner — Each Memory belongs to one agent. Switch agents and you see a different list.
Categories
The category isn't just a tag — your agent uses it to decide what kind of memory it's looking at.
Creating Memories
Open the Memories page and click Create memory. Write the body, pick a category, and save. Best for facts you already know upfront.
During chat, your agent can surface a Save this? hint after learning something durable. One click and it's saved.
Cloud-backed memory extraction watches your conversations and pulls out cards worth keeping. You review before they go live.
One agent, one set of memories
Memories belong to one agent. Your Shop agent's Memories about catalog rules are invisible to your Personal agent. This keeps contexts clean and reduces wrong-skill picks.
To copy a Memory across agents, use the Move / Duplicate action on the Memory card.
Storage
Local
Stored on your computer, encrypted at rest.
Cloud sync
Synced across your devices via your account. ToShop servers store them encrypted.
Migration
When cloud sync becomes available for your account, you'll see a banner offering to import your local Memories.
Editing and pruning
The Memories page lists everything stored for the active agent. Search by content or category, click a card to edit content, change category, or bump importance. Delete to forget.
For bulk operations (export all, wipe by category), see the Memory entry in the left sidebar.
Privacy
Memories stay private until needed
- Memories never travel to the AI model automatically — only the ones your agent picked as relevant to the current task ride along with that task's prompt.
- Local storage is encrypted at rest.
